The game is on tonight, hope we’ll see plenty of players again this time! Server1 in Finland will be doing the game hosting most likely, join the chat in case of questions.

If you’re joining the game, make sure you’ve got beta 0.66 without mods. See you on the other side!

Beta 0.66 is out!

The new version brings in mostly performance optimizations, yet some minor feature updates have found their way into the release as well like the new stats (longest kill streak, kills per deaths, faction stats), better aiming on targets over platforms and smoothened sniper sight range changing. Check out the change log on the forum for details.

The work continues heavily on the vehicle feature; looking forward to get the jeep functional in online for testing very soon!

..and to remind you of the awesome 16-player online match we had recently, take a look at the video below:

Beta 0.65 is out!

It’s update time! Beta 0.65 includes mostly minor but important bug fixes and balance improvements here and there. New features are this time limited to automatic game reactivation on online servers after the game’s over, crouch & prone toggling and controls for the isolines to help understanding the terrain elevation better. Map3 has gone through some very nice progress, but will still require more work to be called complete.

Log of changes can be found on the forum.

If you’ve pre-purchased the game already, remember that you can download the latest version by re-using your download link which you got from BMTMicro. If you’ve lost the receipt/download link, don’t hesitate to contact orders@bmtmicro.com or pasi.kainiemi@modulaatio.com so that we can re-send you the information.

Also, don’t forget the big multiplayer match on Saturday 12th – that’s today – at 7 pm UTC! The server’s in Europe so prepare yourself accordingly :)

UPDATE May 28th: Here’s the video compilation of the ~16-player match, thanks to all of you who participated!

RWR in media

Well look at that! RUNNING WITH RIFLES has got some press coverage recently, since a while actually. Adam Smith from Rock, Paper, Shotgun wrote a few impressions based on the latest videos, while Space-Biff went hands-on and played some heavy battles in the latest beta — just look at this screenshot — and found 5 more reasons to play RWR.

Edit (May 3rd 2012):
