Here's a new idea wandering through my head: A camouflage battledress for the vest slot in the inventory. If you've equipped it (and you're not moving), the ai barely notices you but the suit itself does not protect from bullets. The only problem is, that it would be useless against other players unless it absolutely covers the player (maybe when layed on the ground). See what you can make out of it :)

something like this was mentioned somewhere, not sure if 0.93 has support for this already.

A ghillie suit :D would be good example

if this would be implemented on pvp the color circle on your feet would need to go

0.94 has support for equipment bound models but AI detectability modifiers probably come a bit later. The model could e.g. have holes to make it blend with any surroundings, or it could be matched with specific terrain type. So vanilla 1.0 will most likely see some form of camouflage suit suitable for SP and cooperative.

Basically it's possible to customize the marker color in online too for PvP, I think there's /color command available on some servers, but color transparency has been disabled as a measure against being able to appear as a bot to other players.

I could move this color validation to gamemode script side and allow transparency in markers in the game engine, then someone would be able to mod their server to setup transparent markers for those wearing a specific piece of equipment.

hmm why not in pvp to set it like you cant see enemy players color circles? Just friendlies

Seriously, when attacking enemy base, I have always feeling like "I know that You are somewhere there..." or "Ok, this is Your last base, so I guess finnaly we will met and fight."
When defending my last base it is like "Please, not by bots! I will not accept being defeted by bunch of bots... Oh! Good! Finnaly You are here! Now I have reason to try my best last stance!" :)

But as for camouflage suits against bots - I think it would be nice addition :)
