2. APC damage - It's hard to use the APC to kill. I understand that's part of its balance but maybe an tiny explosive round will do the trick. Something that has a real small blast radius that only has a chance to kill rather than a 100% kill rate. This blast kill chance could increase as the distance to the center of impact decreases. I'm talking a blast radius about the 1/4 the size of the grenades if even. The turret rotation and uneven terrain already add to the difficulties of using an APC and against someone with a good throwing arm or a LAW, it feels a little underpowered. An explosive round would allow the APC to take on groups of enemies that are clustered easier.

I've experimented with the APC MG (It's deceptively called "M240" and at the bottom of the weapons list in weapons_specifications.xml) and increased the firing rate. While I really can't do much about the slow turnign speed and hills, the increased firing rate made the thing actually feel like a viable vehicle to use ingame.

I don't know where this suggestion belongs but.. Perhaps night to be darker? Not like pitch black, just for lights.. Street lights, flash lights.. hEadlights on jeeps and whatnot.. Honestly "night time" is too bright..

The thing is that there are people with old TFTs which are pretty dark in general (for myself with my old TFT the brightness on the highest level was similar to the lowest brightness possible on my actual TFT...)
As there are no options to change the gamma/brightness ingame yet (will be done) it might be tough for some people to see anything if the night would be darker.

TFT? And that's to bad, perhaps its can be an addon? or simply an option to make it darker, because for me night is about the same brightness as day, just colors change.

I bought this game BEFORE it was released and I also wrote about it on the forum about the Brightness & Contrast that wasn´t possible to change ingame. And here I find this post that it will be one. Thats does not feel right anymore at all. I played it today since I was dissapointed about the game was so dark still (when I played it several months back ago). So is it gonna be fixed or is there a way for me to go into a file in the gamefolder to change brightness & contrast ? or a mod that can fix it?
I really like Running with rifles but its hard to play because of not having those options.

The game has already brightened up quite a bit in my experience. The new style that came to be early this year overall increased brightness in all textures and lights, the new pavement/asphalt is practically shining bright grey these days on my display, also recently post processing wasn't anymore darkening the scene throughout but just the outlines, which I had wanted to see forever now.

Some people are frequently complaining that e.g. night doesn't feel really night in RWR anymore because it's so bright. While I don't personally agree with them, it would seem some sort of brightness hack would be in order.

To make it work, the contents of the scene need to be rendered first to an off screen buffer to be able to read it in a pixel shader which will increase brightness without sacrificing contrast; this will also mean that you can't utilize antialiasing, at least not in the usual sense in my knowledge.

I hope this feature would still be implemented for 1.0, but to be honest, I'm having serious doubts about it as it doesn't seem to be a hugely requested feature. It's possible to mod it in too by editing data2.pak (which is a zip) and mingling with the compositors.

Perhaps I can fix on my graphics card settings for catalyst or something. Some friends of mine wanted this but also had problems with the dark screen and not having the very basuc option change it. But thanks for the answer anyhow. I guess I get back to this game in some months again if its still being worked on :)
