It will go a bit into that direction, yes but it would need loads of players to be able to compete against the AI in terms of capping power. invaHARDCORE for example has a player compensation of 10, which means every player who joins raises the population of the enemy team to +10 (on "normal" invasion it is set to 4). Soon the system will be overhauled a bit to have better balancing as just increasing the enemy bots isn't the ultimate solution.
We thought that it would increase the amount AI of the enemies but also decreasing the own team's AI amount depending on your rank as high rank dudes use to make the game much easier with their high amount of squad AI.
Example of a player joining an invasion server at rank 8:
for now on a normal inva server --> the enemy team's population increases 4, your own increases 1 (you)
in the near future --> the enemy's population increases 4, your own decreases 8*X-1 with X a number not definied yet, but X=0.5 sounds about right.
