After playing a bit on the new map Al Tabul I think I've found a bug with the corrugated sheet iron (for example at "Junkyard", but also everywhere else): You can just shoot through it, so it seems that the bullets are not blocked in any way. Looks kinda weird...

I thought I better mention it here. And sorry if bug-reports are supposed to be somewhere else. I wasn't sure where to put it in.

Afaik, this is intentional.
I think they have a 50% chance of getting stopped by it though.

so ya, basically 51% of the bullet can pierce the corrugated fence.
Every object with a penetrability > 50% and see_through = 0; result in the fact that the enemy can't see you when there is such a fence between you and the enemy if they aren't alerted. If they are alerted (when you shoot through the fence or there is a fight nearby), the fence won't provide you visible cover anymore but the 49% bullet cover remains, of course.

So no, it's not a bug
