So if I want it on steam I'd have to buy it again? Other games like Project Zomboid and Xenonauts will let you pick if you want a key for Desura or Steam for the final version. Didn't know if you guys were doing that.

Sorry, I probably understood you wrong the first time, I was under impression you'd already seen this in either Steam or the RWR website Purchase -page
NOTE: All pre-purchasers will also get a Steam activation key for RWR, if RWR gets greenlit in Steam.

This means that in addition to the Desura/BMTMicro (or both) streams of beta updates and the final version there, you'll also get the Steam key, which may happen during the beta or not. There is no choice to be made to convert the new Steam key to a key of another service.

This means that you'll have the final version in both Desura and Steam.
Ah sweet. :D

The fee has nothing to do with it.

One, the biggest, reason is that there's no captivating thumbnail image for RWR yet. It's hard to highlight the best parts of the game in one 200x200 image, and as it stands, there's no concept art which could be used.

Another reason is that a fresh promo video would be of utmost importance when RWR gets on Greenlight.

You can count on it that me and JackMayol are currently doing things to fix the situation.

Just came here from Steam Greenlight and I wanted to let you guys know that the game looks every attractive on there. I played Silent Death Online, Subspace, Infantry, and ARC (Attack Retrieve Capture) back in the days of dial-up and this game immediately caught my eye as similar. I downloaded the game last night and was absolutely blown away by how much fun RwR was right out of the 'box'. Definitely reminds me of my favorite games.

Looking forward to the next MP match.

RWR is struggleing a bit on steam greenlight, as we are at 74% on getting into the top100 in steam greenlight (the top100 use to have the attention of the steam team). We achieved 50% withing a couple of days but since 1 week we only went from 70 to 74%. So for those who didn't vote yet, please do it and spread the word for your friends to do so.
Also you should *like* the official facebook RWR site where there are unique stuff like fancy development screenshots and more "unique" stuff to come (AI driving video...).
The more exposure, the better for all of us.
Tkank you! :)

Yeah.. too bad most of the gaming web mags I contacted with the latest RWR news (Steam Greenlight, the video, dedicated servers, vehicles and Linux coming soon, and so forth) didn't feel like covering it this time -- would've surely brought a lot more attention to Greenlight voting and reminded a lot of the earliest development supporters about the game too.

Just need to keep on trying.

Have you ever gotten back to TotalBiscuit? It seems a good time to do so.

I know it seems that there's always a fancy new feature that we end up waiting to complete before heading to TB, but from the tests we've had with AI driving, it's is something we definitely don't want to miss seeing in TB :)

Well, better dish out the things you want. I want to see this game grow, and I DEFINITELY want to see this on steam.. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the progress and the TB bit. :)
