I had an idea for when more team are implemented.I had a earlier post of this and so did someone else i just thought i add some ideas.First lets start off with character creation. The ability to put backpacks, trim and hats on your character. But the problem is that the characters accesories are just barley noticed. So to do this more brightly colors for "trim" (accesories) might have to be put into the people. As for the squad section of this let me first explain something.Any random soldier can join your squad (not the enemy duh) but when they do i thought mabye their costumes or outfits would change to match yours when they do to signify in online if a teammate has members with him to calculate posible chances of succesful raiding. As for the army i thought of a selection of 3 or more basic uniforms that every soldier wears until they join a squad. As for flags why not make flags hang down on the 3 closest buildings of a controlled area of a team. But you have the ability to change the insignia in the main menu.(kinda like Black ops emblem editor) And you would have to make it so when creating or activating a server it will prompt you to make emblems for teams or use defaults. Tell me what you think i need help with this so we can ake it PERFECT

I'm going to take a realism standpoint on this topic here so here we go:

Customizable characters would be welcome given that different soldiers wear different gear based on need and looks (sometimes :) ) I would enjoy wearing special hats like a bandana, balaclava, patrol hat, standard helmet blah blah blah as well as choosing my body armor as perhaps a vest or a t-shirt (to show off the guns haha) or just standard bdu's. Even different camoflauge selections could be cool if they were different enough to warrant the choice but were still unified under the team color so that there is no confusion.

Squad mates changing uniform to match yours is kind of awkward and from the realism standpoint, not compatible. To fix the issue of not knowing if your human ally has squadmates or not, maybe the same small circles that you see around your squad appear around the ally's squad but with a color matching that of the leader. That way, you can tell instantly who is under who's control.

Flags: Not a fan for a few reasons. Number 1, armies don't go about flying flags in the middle of battle :) Number 2, there may not be buildings near a capture point, Number 3, the minimap already clearly denotes who the land belongs to.

Emblems? only relevant if flags are implemented (which I highly doubt will be)

Customizable characters made from parts won't happen, at least not in a long time. In fact the time is so long I'm not going to have it in my mental todo-list even :)

Map-specific and team-specific collection of soldier models will happen, so there will be more variety in that aspect. I'm sure we'll start it as a random thing, but it could evolve to support player preferences as well. One possibility is to bind weapons to outfits, but it's not decided yet.

About seeing other people's squads, I feel something more subtle would be needed than spamming the leader colored markers for the mates at all times -- after all, I don't see such a huge need for this feature to justify marker spamming :) Maybe the squadmate markers could be shown if you take the crosshair over a leader, as in inspecting the soldier's status. Inspecting a squadmate would show the leader with a marker then, perhaps.

There has been some discussion about flags, probably in IRC, to further indicate base capture areas. Agreed, the flags wouldn't happen in the middle of battle zone in real life, they can be quite the welcome for the enemy. As you anyway can't hide your base from the enemy in RWR, I think the flags could be used but only at the very heart of bases. They help to indicate ownership and thus importance of spots to defend / attack to, and waving animations are lively. The bases do not need to be filled with flags, one per base could do it. A flag pole works fine without buildings too.

The flags aren't seen a huge priority at the moment either, dedicated servers (80% done!), AI driving, map 4, revamped item system, content packages, soldier models, stuff like that will still keep me busy for quite a while before I can get to add eye-candy / usability improvements.
