Theoretically a 10mbit upstream server might be able to host a 50-player no-AI game, but 37-player game is the most anyone has tried so far AFAIK. I have no idea how well it performed or what kind of connections and latencies people had in that game, or if they had AI bots in it too. In practice I wouldn't be surprised if problems start to emerge with those counts; I wouldn't exactly call the netcode amazingly stable or highly optimized quite yet, while it is working ok for a beta at this point

While there's no hardcoded cap, the realistic cap will be around 50-70 players with today's connections I'm pretty sure.
