As the name suggests I would like to see more identifiable tracer fire coming from opposing Armies. For instance the green Army would shoot green tracer rounds the gray Army would shoot a gray tracer rounds. It would also be nice to see brighter tracers coming from lager caliber guns such as the APC main gun, and other machine guns. At the end of the day this would help the player better identify incoming fire, not only that it would make the games gun play look better too.

TL;DR,
>Faction specific tracer round color
>More visible tracer fire coming from larger caliber guns

I believe the tracer visual color and texture will be externalized at some point, but this won't specifically enable to make them faction specific.

A kind of compromise would be to set up faction specific weapons and have their tracers set up according to the factions, but this would pose a problem when you'd pick up an enemy weapon and would then shoot with enemy tracers -- it could even be "realistic" but not really what was suggested.

For vanilla 1.0, I doubt the tracers will change all that much. The winter map(s) will have them set up a bit differently to spot them better overall, APC HMG effect will be replaced with something else, but that's largely it I'd say.

I'm sorry I'm not used to the jargon around here, do you mean the file will be released at some point to so that we as player base can play around with it?

If it's not possible to make it in the main game at all, Then what I would like to suggest is making the rounds brighter overall, it would be a good visual indication of danger to the player. which is really important to me as a player in this game where one bullet can and will kill you.

I didn't think it would, I'm not expecting any sort of change I "suggest" will make it into the game at all. I only write that because I do understand the time and resources it may take to make a game, and it may not be where you want to see the game go as a whole. On the winter map(s), APC, and HMG good work that's a step in the right direction.

When it will be externalized you might be able to make the tracers thicker as brighter as it can't really be brighter as it is right now as it is (nearly) white

This sounds like the best way to do it imo. Using enemy weapons could actually be used as a tactic.
With friendly fire on this sounds like fun.

While we're on the topic of tracers would it be possible to make the tracer probability (which for now is always set to 1 it seems) have a consistent amount of bullets between tracer rounds instead of being a random chance thing?
This is also a kind of realism thing as this is how it usually works irl (MGs often use tracers every fifth round or so). Similarly the silenced stealth weapons shouldnt have tracers at all since it kinda defeats the purpose.

Possibly.

The tracers in RWR aren't really tracers, they're just usability things that enable you to see shooting taking place, which you wouldn't see at all otherwise. Try playing with bullet trails set to 0% and you know what I mean (the actual bullet is still rendered, btw, that grey pixel) :) Aiming and getting feedback about how your shooting accuracy is is horrible without the trails.
