Lol, I don't know how to add bots on the fly, hell, I just broke the Beerdrinkers trying to figure out the new admin commands and now I can't get it working :(

It will be pure PvP with adding some bots manually to not affect the pure PvP settings, not sure how to do that myself but maybe you already know anyway.


By pure PvP settings, do you mean something else too than just denying backdooring? If not, then base_capture_system should be set to "single".

What does adding some bots manually mean? Is it same as having some small number of bots for both factions, or perhaps meant to compensate if one faction is overpowered by numbers? One way of adding bots manually is by calling in paratroopers, something you may need to specifically deny from happening if that's unwanted.

The start command could be something like below:

"pure PVP" is no backdooring, just a base to defend and a base to attack (crosshair and shield). But haveing noAI would be too painful, at least at the beginning, so the rules should be "pure PVP" but with maybe a few bots to fill the servers a bit.

Ok, updated the suggested start_game command above with 16 max soldiers (AI), and 1 player-bot compensation.

It should mean that once players start to join, and the bots get soon killed, they won't spawn anymore if faction capacity is full or over because of players.

The AI count settings can be controlled directly in the server console with "max_soldiers X" command too. It would be possible to hook up the script to detect a certain chat message and route it to the server to call this, so DocStone wouldn't have to go alt-tabbing.

DocStone, you may want to set server_settings_classic.php so that clients can join at max rank 1 (to be able to use the LAW) and set persistency to match so that stats can be seen per match in-game.

EVAR!!

Pure PvP makes this a completely different game, completely changes the dynamic and when you are all on TS, then it becomes just the best game ever. So many lols tonight, so many :D
