I know, some of us got great ideas for that game.

But we all should agree that we like RWR at first because it's a fun, addictive and fast multi-player rifles racing and crashing game (as used to be GTA in the 90's ).
So before you start to add more vehicles, more weapons, more strategy etc PLEASE think twice about it. Is that really necessary ?

Focus the RWR development team on improving the "atmosphere" of the game and it should be good enough.

I want us to feel insane when we are on the battlefield. A pair of boots, a long knife that's all what we need. Run, baby run!

It was my 2 cents.

Have to agree, if you overcook it it loses what is important - the fun! Tonight on the SAS Server was an absolute blast, stabbings galore and nice fun teams.

Although, the shotguns, please nerf the range! They are mental (not looking at you Max, oh no :D )

hmmm. shotguns just got nerfed previously. If you're anywhere around half screenlength away, they take off your face but beyond that, they're quite useless. I haven't run into too many issues with players using shotguns.

We were finding we were getting one shot killed from almost full map width tonight (still not looking at you Max) which was kind of annoying. You put a full clip of a G36 onto a target and nothing, then "Boom" you're dead (OK, looking at you a wee bit Max :D )

Any idea what kind of lag did people have on the server? Lag and client side prediction can make it appear so that your bullets are making hits, i.e. blood splats, but on the server your shots are actually misses.

But yea, shotgun might still have a little bit too far range, not much I'd say. I mean, not too long ago the shotgun was practically useless in all ranges and then more recently it was a complete sniper. We've been going back and forth with it, it should mean we sooner or later hit the sweet spot with it :)

Hmm, no idea about the lag, only one player complained the whole evening so don't know if it was an issue his end or not. A couple of the guys in the clan were using the shotties, and said that despite them being so much fun they were just over-powered, although they were balanced slightly by the reload action.

ADJUST THE BULLET SPEED! It should make it not go as far and if it does it can be seen much better.

If you face someone with a shotgun, just try to keep your distance to him, then he will be useless :)
I think the shotgun is fine. Maybe a very slight range nerf if at all.

Shotgun could use a downgrade in range. It is pretty smoking hot at ranges where I would think it is no-joy for sure relative to other weapons. Whatever you did to the MP5 was just right! It was a bit OP there and now it is perfection; risk/reward. G36 is... not OP but if you decide to control your rate of fire it almost never misses at long range. Maybe a touch down on the G36 power as well.

A 7.62 NATO/308 rifle would be appropriate with all the other major military calibers being represented. Perhaps a M14/M1A type rifle which could bridge the gap between the sniper and the automatic weapons? I dont need too many different guns but it would only seem fitting that a 308 would be with the 7.62 WP and 5.56 :D FN FAL would be the logical choice for a 308 battle rifle as well.

I like the Inventory system alot. I think it could be speeded up so it instantly comes up instead of having to fly in from off screen. Also, the message box/text box needs to be clear and you guys find a font/color combo that you can see. When things are packed in a multiplayer room it is hard to play with that whole area of text attacking the NW position of the screen >.<

Wishlist items: Inventory system used for upgrades such as scopes, "Tacticool" items, and other mods and equipment. Gas/Smoke grenades or some type of obfuscation grenade. Mods and equipment that affect weapon accuracy and performance in positive and negative ways. 2 Weapons of Choice instead of a Weapon and a Shield/Rocket.

Great game btw! Best I have played in a while. Keep up the good work.

Say, how's that for next update? single fire battle rifles! FN FAL and HK G3, maybe?
