Hi Opt and welcome on the forum!
When you launch your game, you will have a message on the top left of the menu screen that your version is not the latest.
If you are using the branch release of Desura (not the standalone version) the Desura client will inform you that there is a new version and the update is straight forward.
If you are using the standalone version, just download the new version and install it over the old one.

Perfect. Thank you. Should I be concerned if the version running on dedicated servers are slightly higher version then my own (ie: 84.1 and 84.2) or is this simply due to still being in Beta? I figure there will be some testing and what not? I just don't want to find myself suffering from problems and make the mistake of assuming it's an issue with the game when really it may be my fault for not running current version.
I haven't had any problems so far with versions, just want to make sure I know how often and when to re-download.

the number after the last comma indicates that it's a dedicated server. The number after the first comma is important for you; if it's the same as yours then you are on the safe side
