First of all, I just bought this cool game and I hope it gets bigger eventually.

Now to my request
It would be nice if you could remove the mouse acceleration to make it feel more accurate. Bad mouse controls is never a good thing in games.

Some players would probably say you'll get used to it in no time.

But, you can "hack" it if you want to try different camera smoothing factors. Open C:\ProgramData\Running with rifles\settings.xml, edit the line with <camera_smooth_factor value="0.100000" />.

Getting used to it is not a problem, it just seems that perfect mouse controls is a luxury nowadays when in my opinion it should be standard. It just makes the game feel much better, just like how low touch latency makes the iphone feel so much smoother than android. ;)

Hmmm, I set this to 1 and while the camera does follow my mouse exactly where I want it to now, I don't quite know if that actually disables mouse acceleration.
That aim helper speed thing looks like it will help too, gotta turn that waaay up =p

There shouldn't be any actual mouse acceleration in the game; if there is, I'd think it's coming from Windows, but I have no details of how OIS actually works. All received mouse movements get scaled with the in-game mouse sensitivity factor so it's constant. I was assuming that by mouse acceleration the camera smoothing was meant.

If I recall correctly, you'll have issues with too large aim helper speed. The aim helper has been made with similar elements as the menu components (for lack of a better solution back when the aim helper was introduced), so you'll have that bounce behavior with it. It'll go over the target and bounce back, and possibly again over the target and ...

Ahhh, alright then.

Would it be possible to make it so that the mouse sensitivity is the same as at the desktop, by any chance? The mouse seems to move along a 2d plane anyways so... maybe?

No, probably not, not all players want to play games with the same sensitivity they use for desktop, I believe. It would make a good initial value I suppose.
