[h1]Kastrenzo's RWR Carapace armor pack[/h1]


There isn't a workshop for RWR, So I'd like to share these with you here.

This is a little set of custom "models" I made for RWR back in college, I enjoyed playing it on break and decided to put a little bit of my OCD into the game since I wanted to make the soldiers wear full body armor suits like you'd see in Xcom, Planetside, Warhammer, whatever.

[h1]Here's a vague description on how to identify each soldier[/h1]


Each faction more or less uses the same color codes
and will have three variations of regular troop, usually mixing the carrier rigs, backpacks, helmets and armor components
Level II armor *regular vest* will usually have the chest and sometimes head painted a darker color, and usually a bright color stripe as well depending on faction
Level III (EOD) armor is always a full dark gray / black suit with bright color stripes. Same color s tripes as shown on level II armor, "Heavy Vest" refers to EOD armor
Level I armor does not use a custom model, so the change is not applied



Greenbelts

Model 1 - Green armor with bare forearms and thighs, open visor helmet with mask and brown rig/backpack
Model 2 - Plain green armor with brown chest/waist rig
Model 3 - Plain green armor with basic rig
Model 4 *Winter* - White armor with dark green trim and olive rigs
Vest - Plain green armor with black chest and olive green chest rig/backpack
Heavy Vest - Black armor with bright green stripes and visor
Officer - Green with white stripes, bare forearms, hat and radio backpack

Brownpants

Model 1 - Brown/tan camo armor with closed helmet
Model 2 - Plain brown armor with sash and open helmet
Model 3 - Plain brown armor with closed helmet
Model 4 *Winter* - Armor suit painted in brown/white camo with soviet style trenchcoat effects and closed helmet
Vest - Full armor suit painted brown with red stripes
Heavy Vest - Full armor suit painted dark gray with red stripe
Officer - Similar to EOD except has more red, and underlayer is red rather than tan

Graycollars

Model 1 - Plain gray armor with small backpack with closed helmet
Model 2 - Plain gray armor with bare forearms and open visor helmet
Model 3 - Plain gray armor with closed helmet
Model 4 *Winter* - Plain armor painted in ice blue/gray camo
Vest - Gray armor with dark gray helmet, chest and groin parts, teal underlayer
Heavy Vest - dark gray armor with grey stripes and teal underlayer
Officer - plain grey armor and a big teal hat with teal underlayer

a couple models haven't been modified from their base appearance, namely the "elite2" of each faction, the ghillie suit models. and the 5 star General models. I never changed these because these models didnt exist back when I made this pack.

Just posting to say that I'm rather impressed with your work Kastrenzo.

The skins make the factions much more pleasing to the eye, since the default look tends to make them look almost too cartoonish to me. I suppose that's the whole point with the 'Toy soldiers' motif but still, more details on the models are always welcome.
