I noticed a glitch with hand grenades, as i was trying to destory sandbags that were blocking my jeep and ended up blowing the jeep up

Basically their explosion passes through sandbags and only damages vehicles, (not infantry, thank goodness)

I decided to test this with impact grenades, and rocket launchers (rpg, LAW, carl gustav), and hand grenades, by positioning a sandbag between myself and a vehicle (jeep).

Rockets knocked back the sandbag, but did not damage the vehicle. Same thing with the impact grenades. Only hand grenades permeated through the sandbags and damaged the jeep behind the sandbags.

Not sure that this is the proper thread, but I noticed another bug, similar to that one C4 bug - after you drove some vehicle and then go out and throw a impact grenade, it explodes in the vehicle. It happens only with impact nades, but not with hand ones.

Oh yeah that bug sucks since you'll kill your own vehicle if you try to use nades no matter where you are.

It happens because the game doesn't have implementation for blast vs vehicle (including dynamic object like a sandbag) obstruction by others objects, such feature doesn't exist.

Impact grenade and rocket blast radii are small enough to not become counted as harmful on vehicles on the other side of a sandbag, but hand grenade blast comes with large enough radius for that.

Have you found reliable steps how to reproduce this or does this happen randomly? I at least can't get impact nades to explode in an APC after I've driven with it a small distance, not in online nor single player.

Well, as other fellas pointed out, no need to reproduce this since it happens at 95% of the cases.
I only noticed that as well as that one C4 bug it happens with all vehicles, EXCLUDING jeeps.
Also I can confirm that this DOESN'T happen in SP, only in online servers.
Btw another related bug - since several versions ago sometimes C4 stuck to my cover deploy which I had just deployed(hope I'm using the correct phrase :) ).
Could it be some sync issue due to our distance to the server?

A sync issue is possible, but somehow 95% reproducibility rate sounds it could be something else too. I got 0/3 fails with impact nades and that APC I tried yesterday, so that's why I wonder if there's some specific thing to trigger it to happen.

If it would be a sync issue and you'd see the impact nade / C4 explode / appear in the vehicle instead of where you are standing when you throw it, it would likely mean that you are still sitting in the vehicle on the server even if you see yourself somewhere else.. although it's still a bit fishy as the server wouldn't allow you to throw any grenades while being in a closed vehicle. This should also mean you see your character being pulled towards the vehicle, i.e. the rubber band effect, as you're off-syncing but not yet enough for the out of sync signal.

I could study the issue myself if I knew how to reproduce it. How big lag do you get on SAS Invasion? Maybe that plays a part in it how often it happens.

Yep, you're right, no any rubber band effect, I can drive, shoot, run, etc. perfectly normal. Also, as already mentioned there is no such problem with hang nades/claymore mines. In fact, it happens even after you're out of the vehicle for..... let say maybe 20-30 sec. in the meantime I have no any sync during this time. I am located in East Europe and my ping to SAS servers is always around 55-65(for comparison I get around 130 ping while playing in Invasionus(US)), but as far as we have discussed this problem in the servers, it becomes clear that a lot of people have the same problem, no matter where are they from or what their ping is.

Happened twice with an armory truck. Also i noticed sometimes similar effect occurs without any vehicle - you throw a normal nade, but cant see it, only can see the explosion.

Step by step reproduction:
1) Respawn
2) Run to armory, pickup impact nade lying around on the ground
3) Run to the spawn truck, get in, drive 2 meters, get out.
4) Run away 3 meters from the truck, throw a nade
5) ???
6) Profit!
