This would actually be a pretty good idea, Minecrafters were always players that like various kinds of games.

As far as I have seen, RwR has got mostly favorable reviews from Minecraft players, so that would be a great idea. Pasik himself would have to attend MineCon, though.

There's also a little annoyance called "work" :D A trip to Las Vegas from Europe can be pretty much considered a week off, and it's not exactly an easy sell to most employers (unless you spend your vacation days).

The publicity gained would probably be great though.
