What would everybody think if you were able to airdrop the apc? it is much more powerful than the tank at anti infantry role (which is often what you are up against) and is often used as a capture box (shoving 8 people into capture points safety to capture the point forcefully) however lacks armor and maneuverability compared to the tank, which is powerful in range and is actually more maneuverable (it has a better acceleration, but lower top speed, than the apc, which makes it good for kiting in and out of range). It also is narrower and can fit in alleyways better, but its slow acceleration often means that you cant dodge the grenades that do 20% damage to it let alone the 50% impact grenades without overcommitment into enemy infantry

Dunno how this would be balanced and it might be too powerful but I think it should cost 800 - 950 rp to drop since you can already drop the tank in on infantry heavy maps

edit: ops i posted in wrong section could you move to suggestions please :(

Nice shot, Satirical!
APC should cost approximately 700-800 RP imo

I work quickly, cheaply and qualitatively. You can choose only two of the three options.

Good idea anyway.

Yea the is a good idea. I was wondering if maybe the devs could add a lighter apc with maybe two MGs as a turret replacement of the cannon that will be cheaper and very helpful for pushing back enemies waves also for more variety.

I love that idea as well, airdropped apcs would be cheaper than I suggested, yet balanced because the gunners could be shot out on top and vulnerable to grenades

Except for the two MGs this is basically the same as the already existing humvee.
Airdropping regular APCs would be welcome though.

If you want this just for singleplayer it's quite easy to mod it in btw. Just copy the tank call and replace the reference to the tank with the APC and add it to all_calls.xml and you're done.

I am not a big fan of having an APC drop, else it might have been added since a while. An APC is imo much more effective than a tank, because of the relative high rate blast rounds on top of the high vehicle speed. And not to forget the troop transport ability.

If I remember right my old tact ops mod had a flare that can call in an APC, maybe something like that instead of an air drop.
