Ok here is an idea for an army in campaign, each map would have 3 possible locations for it to spawn but only a 10% chance of it spawning. the black market would allow players to buy and sell rare weapons at an inflated cost. Example selling a rare weapon to it will give 3x its value, but buying said weapon back would cost 4x its value.

This market would be the only place to get some of the best weapons in the game, besides the elite units and some rare crates.

Current ideas for weapons.

pepperduster: costs 300 to buy, gives 200 on sell.
f2000: costs 400 to buy, gives 350 on sell.
P90: costs 150 to buy: gives 150 to sell. (is the flag ship weapon of the black market.)
m107: costs 1,000 to buy, gives 800 to sell.
XM8: costs 400 to buy, gives 350 to sell.

note: all weapons not sold give 3x their value on sell, meaning this is a great place to off load a golden deagle or two.

other
vest III costs 500 to buy, gives nothing on sell.
TOW set up kit: costs 1,000 to buy, must have 8,000 EXP to place.

SPECIAL ITEMS ONLY FOUND AT BLACK MARKET
other the the TOW set above. (I have unbalanced versions of each of these, jack has a copy of the MGL already, might be in [redacted])

MGL: costs 500 to buy. gives 100 to sell
m202 flash: costs 100 to buy, gives 100 to sell. (secondary weapon fires 4 rockets at once)
ATTACK FLARE: costs 1,000 RP to buy, gives 500 to sell. (when thrown will spawn 6 missiles which will devistate the area, good for taking out targets in areas where calls can not be used)

SPECIAL ITEMS I HAVEN'T MADE YET.

m79 MIRV: 300 to buy, 100 to sell. (m79 that fires out a fragmented 4 micro explosvies... just imagine a m79 combined with a shotgun)

The idea works all right, and there's everything in place in the game to add that (armory interaction points with items derived from a special soldier group, buy/sell prices, random places where the black market "vehicle" would spawn at).

We've been thinking about a possibility to make some form of black markets as well, but we were looking into making it more into a quest thing so that you'd need collect specific amount of specific valuables and trade them for special items, for instance. Right now, I'm not sure we'll go all the way to make that happen as the game isn't really set up to provide this kind of trading through an armory, so it might end up a bit too hacky on the look & feel side.

If we decide to drop the quest-like black markets, the idea warbrand2 suggested would make a perfect and a very feasible alternative.

I must say that this idea looks very promising. Especially I like part where those "Black Market Armories" have chance to be spawned, but in same time this chance is really low and most of time You will not have them.

As a side note - those armories could also be used to buy and unlock other factions silenced weapons ;)

yeah, its kind of sucks to not be able to buy rare weapons.

sometimes when youre on the field in online game, and several players see a rare weapon, its practically a race to the death to get it
ppl even go as far as killing you if you get it first (happened when i first time saw mgl flasher, got naded)

What are these "rare" weapons if they could be bought from the armory then?!
In my opinion there are already enough ways to get them, such: secret crates, enemy/friendly elites and mostly from the Final Map since it was added.

Yeah, I agree with DIO here. I think this idea is kinda neat, but I'm literally out of space in my stash because I have too many rare weapons.

I think this is pretty common with the new final map. I often see someone asking if anyone wants a rare before they sell 15 copies of it to the armory :-).

For the final version the elites on map11 might not drop stuff or at least at a much lower probability as rare weapons aren't rare anymore because of that map :)
