I'm making a mod that is close to being released. It will add a couple of new factions and a whole lot of new weapons. You can see abit of the progress on the bottom of this post. But first, the two questions i need help with. 1. How do i make it so i can use the letters å ä ö in the language file. I already made it so that diffrent factions say and behave diffrently. Now i know that the letters ä and ö can be used as they are used in the german translation of the game. However every time i try to use em they just end up looking wrong ingame. I.ex. if i write the swedish word "mår" it will turn up in the game like "Må¨@r" or something like that. 2. As an experienced user of blender (im using 2.49 mainly), how do i open the mesh files, i want to create some better vehicles and unique vehicles for each faction. However as of now i only found a plugin for blender by ogre3D that diden't work with 2.49. I haven't tried it too much but i expect that i can use that plugin on a newer version of blender, save it as a .blend file and open it in 2.49 for editing. Saving it there and then reopen it in the newer version of blender to export it back to .mesh. And that are the two questions i had. And now for some early mod progress. I am an experienced modder from before, I know how to do voxels and 3d models. ![]() This is a picture of the SCAR-H that is already ingame in the mod beta. And here is a small weapon list of weapons that are currently already ingame or being made for the game. The majorities of weapons in the list are already done and in the mod. Which i plan to release in about a week, maybe two.

I have been having the exact same issue. Can't get the plugin to run on blender. I have tried using milkshape, but it isn't the best tool for me either mainly because I am very inexperienced in 3D modeling. But your mod sounds awesome! SO MANY WEAPONS! |

Thanks mate. How did you use milkshape3D to edit mesh files? is it possible to edit them natively with the program? because i've used Milkshape3D before and tho it's abit harder for me to use i could still manage to use it for making vehicles. The mod is getting closer for a "beta"-ish release. Working hard on it. ![]() |

I use Milkshape for everything, and I'm able to use it to export models into a .mesh format. However, I got a new computer, and I'm unable to find the importer for .mesh files anymore. I can happily give you the exporter, but I've lost the importer. |
