Just a quick question about dialogue.

Can you make dialogue faction-specific? This way, different factions would have different manners of speaking. Could this be done through mods, or is it impossible at the moment.

Thanks.

It's possible, simply modify the default.character file and you can get different chats for triggers. If you want each faction to have a different way of saying things, copy the default.character file, name it something else, modify it, and then go into the <insert faction name here>.xml and find the character filename line and replace the referenced file name.

Thanks Soldier.

Also, does RWR support different fonts, such as Wingdings?

Don't ask.

I think you can change the font, but I haven't seen much in the way of different fonts for different factions.

I have an issue. Everything else is working fine, but when I hit "H" to use the radio, I get no comment from my character, nor the commander. There is dialogue there in the .character file, though. Any solution?

EDIT: Further testing reveals that I get comments from one faction, but not the other two.

To clarify, I get dialogue on all three factions when calling in something. It's the initial exchange that happens when you bring up the menu that is missing.

EDIT2: As it turns out, I had forgotten to put endquotes on the end of the initial comment, so it canceled out the entire dialogue piece.
Issue resolved.
