Hello RWR community, My idea is a fairly reasonable one.

I was thinking, Maybe add weapon attachments, silencers, lasers, red dots, acogs, fmjs, and whatever else non sense you could think of onto your gun. Say if you added a silencer to your weapon, It would reduce the bullet trail and slightly improve accuracy , If you added fmj's it could increase kill % and maybe decrease in range or accuracy, Just to make sure it has the checks and balances. But the only way I could really see this working is if there was a permanent ranking system in place so one would have to work for their upgrades for weapon customization ;)

Not entirely sure on how some of the sights would work, Red dots = better accuracy? i dont know. Just a thought i've been toying around with in my head for the past few games in RWR.

You don't really need attachments, but laser pointers would be pretty cool, even if all they did was reveal your position, I still want a laser pointer on my gun.

Seriously though, all you need is to pick the right weapon for the job.

To each his own I guess, I wouldn't really mind having a suppressor on a gun whenver they get a stealth system implemented so I could run around invisible killing baddies.

I like the idea of a silencer weapon having less or no trail at all, which would be the case of the MP5. This would be a "visual silencer" in multiplayer as humans are usually different than bots and see instantly where the enemy is by seeing the bullet trails.

I think that each gun should behave more like in traditional games, where you only get the base gun, but each gun has its own traits. Certain guns would only get suppressors for example. I think it was discussed earlier that there would be certain 'classes' for weapons, and there are varying weapons to fill those roles? For example, right now there's 2 (unless more have been added?) assault rifles, each filling the same role but performing a little differently.

If you were to add something like a rails system to guns then you get the 'Magpul Masada' complex where one gun can fill every role... and that's rather yawn inducing. Sure, the ACR is neat, but everybody using it gets dull. I kinda like the 'East'/'West' mix of weapons in the game so far, and the fact that both sides use either kind of gun is neat.

If there were any kind of attachment to guns I think flashlights would be good. Make nighttime a bit darker and then you get a bunch of people trying to find each other using their flashlights, or keeping their light off to not draw attention. Grenade launchers using flares would be an option too.. it's been discussed in other topics whether a grenade launcher firing HEDP would be balanced or not. Paraflares without a grenade launcher would solve the 'I have a grenade launcher but all it fires are flares?' problem.

I think an HEDP nade launcher would be balanced if it were just limited, I mean the rocket launcher currently plays the same role (though I hear that it's getting a nerf in explosion range once more than 1 explosion type is created)

the rocket launcher is getting a nerf? why? I never thought it was OP at all.It's horrendous accuracy balances the explosion radius I always thought.

That's a brilliant idea your suggesting sir, im looking forward on having some nice improvement especially engaging weapons...
