I had a spark of awesomesauce and thought of a desert map. Will one be implemented in later versions?I think the best thing for a dessert themed map would be Egypt with destroyed pyramids,Towns covered in sand,(Dead camels for the lulz?) dessert themed veichles(jeeps and trucks tannish). Tell me what you think. |

mmm dessert map.. sounds yummy, perhaps soldiers could be replaced by gummy bears and they could bop each other on the head with lollipops and shoot cotton candy while prancing about on top of a gigantic cake that isn't a lie? //end sarcasm To create this map would need entirely new props and environment retexes I believe. Not impossible and not a bad idea to ask for different biomes. Do not see new biomes as being very high on the to-do list although I would definitely like playing in different atmospheres such as snowscapes, tropical islands, deserts, and such. +1 ComJak |

Map 4 will be a snow map as far as I can tell, so yeah, the terrain "theming" is opening up and becoming more flexible, so I think I can see a desert map coming out too one day, might be a mod even. Not sure if anyone's going to try to come up with models for pyramid ruins or buildings halfway covered in sand though, it's possible for sure. Meanwhile, I'll see what I can do about the snow. Map-specific vehicle texture and weapon/soldier model (appearance) switching will be also made possible with the content package system I will start working on soon. Dedicated server support is still keeping me busy atm. |

If you do a snow map and cover buildings partially in snow couldent you just take that prop and edit coloring? |
