Hey I am new to the forums but I have a pretty great idea for multiplayer. And yes I understand this is probably a long way away but I just figure I get this idea out in the open. How about for multiplayer along with having in game text chat, you also put in voice chat. Now I am not certainly sure how difficult that may be but if you consider that, you should also consider this. What if you can have different settings with that. Like it would automatically be proximity chat but along with that you can change the distance of how far someone can hear you like whisper, yell, talk, etc. This is just an idea I had and I would love it if you guys expanded on this. |

I'd rather not have a bunch of 8 year olds screaming into the mic and then a bunch of 20 year olds blowing into the microphone and maxed out volume of a loop of Nyan Cat or any of that. If you want voice chat, I suggest you just use ventrillo. Plus I don't see how you could make the proximity change based on whether you're whispers, yelling or just talking. I'm certain there's a single range you would be able to hear all Mics no matter what someone was saying. Now there might be something where like the closer you are to one another the louder and clearer people get and the further you are their voice fades, but I'd seriously just stick to Ventrillo or TeamSpeak. IMO. |

Well I meant like you can choose an option in game like 'whisper' and then your proximity would be smaller, but then again this was all just a suggestion. And I can see your point with the 8 year olds and what not. |
