I had an idea for the tank if you were to add it. A modern tank would completely own the RWR battlefield, but what if you made the tank slow and bulky? Like in Stalingrad, the German tanks slowly lumbered through the streets and needed infantry support. It would be the same in RWR, so they couldn't zoom around the map, you could get away from them by running in alleyways, and if they tried to go rambo they could be picked of by grenades and bazookas!

Can't really be picked off by grenades unless Pasik adds AT grenades.

I know normal frag grenades couldn't harm a tank, but I bet an exception could be made. ;)

I believe he added a BTR but it hasn't been implemented yet. Since it's a wheeled vehicle you could disable it and make it immobile... I think. I actually don't know if a BTR has run flats... but even if it does, I don't even think anybody knows what they are or cares enough to simulate them XD

Grenades would make it easier to do so. You could also make it so multiple grenades disable it or something, since I think AT weapons are being added sometime.

Yes, pasik mentioned something about a bazooka. Also i think that pasik said there has to be a refined jeep and bazooka then probably the next faction (Should be brown = French) and then possibly a tank.

-.-
I am french and I don't want my faction to be brown :p
Anyway, the faction shouldn't represent a country. That the greys have undeniable germanic names has been more or less done in the heat of the moment :D
About the tank, it may take a bit longer than you probably expect. We had some other fancy ideas we'd like to be done first. Let yourself be surprised :)
The bazookas are in the work and have progressed nicely (driving around with a jeep full of bazooka infantry is epic! :D ).
Before the tank make an apparition in the game, there will be an APC done which has a 40mm cannon and less armor, which will be easier to balance. Once we see how the balancing between APC/Jeeps/bazooka will be, then we will think about the tank.

Of course a faction should represent a group of people with tight regional connection, hence the names are regional. The factions do not represent real countries, but they are countries of the RWR world for sure. It's a bit unnecessary to come up with several original name systems with ~100 first/last names as the real world already has good regional names waiting to be borrowed. Obviously, the real world would have ready country names as well, but coming up with 4 faction names should be trivial compared to 400 soldier names.

When did this become a faction thread?
I'm sorry for that.
