Post subject:  Napalm runs and hand held cannons.

So... I've been thinking, instead of the normal arty/mortar strikes, Napalm runs. they light up the designated zone (Literally)
And, to keep the mortar alive, add it as a weapon, like in BF3, where you actually carry and use the mortar, popping a bomb in and watching it fly. you wouldn't be able to fire at anything unless your crouching and not moving. You wouldn't be protected with anything, unless handguns are in the game, so that would be a pretty big flaw to balance one of it's advantages. limited range so it's easier to take out. Have a setting up/taking down wait time before being able to fire kinda like going prone with the M240 before firing, and then reloading like the m24 -wait time, that is.

Problem is, a lot of stuff is going to need implemented but, it would be a pretty decent addition to the game. :D

i absolutely agree with you not bad idea GerbulzTheGreat hope they will add something like that in the game i think its ok to add some weapons as long as it helps the game

I don't think that mortar strike will be replaced by something else but more like other offmap "artillery" method could (will) be added. A strafing run or carpet bombing has been in discussion. Napalm strike may been too much since it'd need to implement fire, which isn't that easy to make if you want it to look good enough.
If we decide to implement burning cars / buildings, then why not. If not, then the artillery method already discussed would be enough.

I think napalm is quite overkill.
I'd much rather prefer a simple strafing run.

Even though, then, I think it would be nice to start getting fire in-game. Grenades, mortars, and rockets could leave bits of flame in the path for a few seconds before it is safe to cross, otherwise you'd get burnt or something.
