1. Squads, how about having groups of squads? and having diffrent types aswell.. rifle squads. sniper squads, mg squads ect.. instead of having random units fighting in whatever. (not that I mind the group clutter) 2. Bigger maps, I'm sure this is something you are working on, but I usually play with 100 or 200 bots. 600 or 1000 is a bit too much and there is too much clutter. 3. Infantry type vehicles, some may argue, but I would rather not have any tanks or anything like that.. The only vehicles I'd like to see are anti-infantry and more infantry based units. APCs, jeeps, Transport trucks. 4. The use of trucks and planes, I think it would reallly cool to see transport trucks bringing in troops and paratroppers coming down from planes. (It may seem unneccesarry beceause the spawn points are already pretty close to the battles) 5. I would say engineers, perhaps for sanbbags or things like that.. but the maps are already piled with objects to hide behind cover.. ect things like that 6. Limited number of troops per side and morale system(Improved AI for battles) and resource system, So these three are sorta combined, I would like to see a limited number of troops per side, rather than unlimited spawn. Units should also be weary about when to retreat or when to advance ect, things like.. amount of enemy units, number of friendly units, how many defensive positinos they have, should take into account. I think there should also be an ammo system. and certian bases have limited ammo.. 7. Suppression system, soo seeing as the game gives you view of everything around you with no limits, I would like to see a suppresion system.. what I mean is ... e.g lets say you are facing 10 guys, and you have all the cover in the world.. they are in the open, they open fire on you, but you can keep creeping up and down and pick them off.. how about depending on the amount of fire you take, you lose accuracy? a suppression system of course. 8. More indicators, there should be more indicators, like grenade indicators (sometimes in the thick of battle its hard to see what is coming at you) umm and like.. when you die.. maybe like a flash to inform you that you died.. Anyway, just some suggestions, thought I'd try and help out. |

I will go through and attempt to address the issues that I have some knowledge in. 1. Mentioned yesterday right below your post. Yes more maps will come and larger maps are something to look forward to. 3. Valid opinion. 4. NO PLANES holy crap there will not be planes in the foreseeable future of this game. Trucks though are valid. 5. Please search the forums for information on the previous suggestions on engineers and their uses. 6. Limited troop count may be a game mode rather than a make over. That is a valid idea. AI is slowly coming. And about ammo, this has also been the topic of discussion many a time and I believe the general consensus is to not have ammo at least for small arms. Rockets and things like that may have ammo like grenades. 7. Discussion was made about a LOS system so that you can only see what your character can see (in a lose sense). Suppression is a valid mention. 8. When a grenade lands near you, it does not blink and glow to let you know it's about to go off. Pay attention to your surroundings and the situation at hand and you will be fine. If you have trouble realizing that you are dead, maybe pay more attention to your character. He craves attention. ComJak 1. Out of scope. All the tiny roles each soldier type would have in a squad would be a pain to manage and implement for AI, animations and soldier state logic. Some roles might be a bit dull to play too. 2. I don't recommend playing with 400 or more soldiers either, the game is hardly balanced for such an overcrowded battles. I know some players want to go crazy with the settings, that's why it's allowed. Bigger maps are most likely not happening, or at least they won't happen within 1.0. There will be more maps though, I'm hoping plenty and more varied. 3. Jeeps, trucks, APC and boats are the priority one, a tank might come or might not. We'll know better once the first vehicles have been done. 4. Planes as such are out of scope, but paratroopers might still be doable. I don't have strong plans there though, so don't count on it. 5. Engineers might come after the summer. I like the idea, and it has been discussed before. 6. Might work as a game mode of some sorts. Most likely not within scope of 1.0, especially with the AI involvement. Maybe it could be made as a PvP mode, could be fun in tight maps. 7. Could be. Like ComJak said, line of sight system might be experimented with at some point, which would be mainly meant for PvP action. After the summer most likely. 8. Agreeing on ComJak's view about the grenades and dying. The idea is that if you're mostly concentrating on shooting at the outer regions of the screen, i.e. not looking near your soldier, you make yourself more vulnerable than usually which I find to be a good thing. As for having indicators that you can pick something up, or climb over a wall/up a ladder, access a vehicle, etc, I will add some of those pretty soon. |

Anyway, just some suggestions, thought I'd try and help out. a few i partially agree with, but atleast you took the time and wrote a huge list that isnt just one HUGE run-on sentence ![]() 1.Cool, but in my opinion its just a realy small thing that would probably be best to wait for later on to implement 2.Well. obviously.... 3.This i partially agree on. heres what Pasik could do to help you with this, some maps have light vehicles only (jeep,APC,boats?) some with light and heavy (Tanks,Battleships PLZ. :3) some with no vehicles at all. but i like the idea of tanks. -_- 4.Trucks Can carry soilders at the moment but AI isn't smart enough to get in. Planes are a definite NO at the MOMENT but possible in the future (Pasik said this) 5. Pasik hasnt said anything about this as far as i know, but everyones demanding it so he probably will put it in. 6.Well deciding to retreat or not go into battle at all (AI) is 100% gunna be put in evantually (or well see one dude with an MP5 try and kill 3 tanks ![]() 7.Thats already in the game (unless you dont care if you die) if your getting shot at you don't wanna pop out of cover or stand up, do you? and you dont have enough time to aim if theyress like 10 guys. 8.NO grenade indicators. please. if you ment when you die it says "you were killed by grenade" then yes maybe. And Theyres my opinion on that. |
