Hello! I really love this game, and can't wait to see what it ends up like! I think it would be quite cool if you could add a feature that means that by scrolling with the middle button on the mouse the camera that's viewing the player would zoom in accordingly, allowing for more detailed view of the surroundings. Just a thought! |

The problem with that is that the models used for the players are actually very low resolution voxel models. Therefore, if you zoom in, the models look really blocky and "ugly". If you want to see the way the models look at a closer view, play map 2 and near the mansion on the very left of the map, if you stand near the bottom with a character on the top of the hill, you can see the low resolution models. |

Yep, I thought about this too, but they would just look so ugly. Changing the rotation would be cool though. |

That's a shame! Monsteri wrote: Yep, I thought about this too, but they would just look so ugly. Changing the rotation would be cool though. That's a good idea, It'd be nice to have more than one POV! |

It would be cool to be able to rotate the camera (hold MMB maybe?)... This also made me think what if the camera could smart-snap to whatever you're shooting at? But then I don't know how to word it properly. As if the camera focused midway between you and where you are shooting (like it does now but more sensitive?) - maybe if you could adjust the 'snappiness' of the camera movement. Woah off topic, sorry. |

Rotation will be made possible at some point, but it's not high priority feature currently. Snappiness controls could also be added. |

I was thinking this is sort of a balance issue while playing 0.63. Players with widescreen resolutions have a greater FOV than people with 4:3 screens. I thought adding a way to zoom plus a fog-of-war boundary would be a fix for this. In other words allow the player to zoom OUT far enough to see the entire view circle (a-la-diablo but ofc bigger) which would be uniform regardless of monitor resolution. Zooming in would be cool too but then to keep a level playing field you'd have to have the camera pan and follow the mouse so you can still attack at full range. |

With a 4:3-screen you lose some FOV horizontally but gain some FoV vertically. So I don't see it as a big deal as it compensates each other. |
