G11 Assault Rifle

This is a unique assault rifle developed in West Germany. In 1990, H&K finished the development of the G11, intended for the Bundeswehr and other NATO partners. Although the weapon was a technical success, it never entered full production due to the political changes of German reunification and lack of procurement contract. about 1000 units were ever produced, some of which made their way into the hands of the Bundeswehr. Ultimately, the German armed forces replaced the G3 with the G36.
It fires a unique 4.73x33mm caseless cartridge. rate of fire is 460 rpm and can go 2100 rpm if fired in 3 round burst. Basically, its very similar to the XM8 because both were desgned by H&K and have a very futuristic visual aesthetic and were successfully tested but were both technically successful because both projects never went on to mass production despite satisfactory performance.
