I cannot think of a reason why Type 1 vest cannot be purchased at armory online. It's not as good as type 2, yes, but it DOES stop at least 1, it IS cheaper, and more importantly it sends soldiers into wounded state, so newer players that only spawn with medkits have something to use it on!! And it'd be much easier parting with 10 rp for a vest than 40 every time. |

It's to avoid confusion. The vest needs to be a significant playing style changer and I don't see there being room between no-vest and type 2. Once a player reaches a level that one has to start caring for survival more, i.e. ability to use rares or run stealth ops, that's when vests should become more useful. At that point one wouldn't care about a cheaper+weaker alternative. |

But i do! I want a vest to protect me for less rp than 40, i don't want it to be a gamechanger. Also the only people who can be revived by medkits are people with vests. I take 2 shots with vest 1 and i get a chance to get revived. Or i can revive other people more often and use my med kit more than once every 5 minutes! A small lightweight cheap vest is perfect if you're willing to sacrifice survivability for savings... Not all of us are rich you know!! But all of us can use medkits |
