This game is quite hectic. There is always action going on, enemy is always coming from SOMEWHERE and duh duh the tracers everywhere. I enjoy that a lot, however there should be some ''phew'' moments imo. Not long ones, just a minute or so.
So, how to achieve them?
- Slightly longer respawn time for bots
- A slight movement speed penalty while walking on dirt? (could also encourage more tactics)
- More?
There is sure always a possibility to grap a squad, and go to conquer enemy bases which only a few guards are taking care of. And I actually enjoy that part in this game the most.
It could be encouraged even more by adding a rifle, which would also, as a main weapon, slow down the major game a bit.

- It'd have a one bullet per second rate of fire and 0.5 seconds fire interval, to nerf its otherwise so deadly capatibilities.
- It'd require a click to fire each time, to encourage good aiming.
- It'd have 100% accuracy and 100% damage, because all the other weapons are so rapid and deadly.
- Maybe a slightly larger field of view, for sniping possibilities?
- Maybe there could be a larger chance to get it in spawn than other guns, to actually slow down the game?

With a rifle, I think targeting people and cover play would play a bigger role. And it'd bring even more WW2 feel to this game, I really enjoy its atmosphere!

Sorry if something like this already exists in the full version, I'm still stuck with the demo.

Yeah, I'm experimenting with all sorts of parameters to get some peaceful moments in too.

The guards will become more active in the future, you know, patrolling around the area they are guarding, which should make the stealth ops much more interesting, albeit it can be fun already to some extent.

A kind of a single-shot rifle as you described can be made into the game or demo by modding the media\models\weapons_specifications.xml and changing the mag size to 1, but as there's no auto-reload option yet, you have to manually reload which probably becomes pretty tedious quickly. Accuracy can also be controlled there and various other settings.

More modding capabilities will be added in later versions, I just need to find the time to expose all the parameters.

I'll think about adding an actual sniper rifle later, I can see it becoming pretty useful once you get access to rooftops, but let's see.

GC63 is my Gewehr43 now, and I enjoy it! :D
Honestly it is great, if I could make continuous shooting require a click per each bullet, it'd be perfect. I will upload the mod soon if anyone else wants to try it.
