ok first chalk up another thread for the counter.

Second here is the idea. This is a concept for 1.5, so keep in mind it is not meant for current version of the game, the idea is simply a concept for a "expanded game mode" with special features.


First off the functions of this game mode. The zombie mode would take place on a large map, and I man large map, with the player or players starting in a small area, unlike other maps this one would have a large amount of capture zones, but no stashes or armories, and the players would have no allies at start. this would open of the special features of this game mode, which are listed bellow

1. limited ammo
when the player starts the will have a revolver with 6 shots loaded and 12 shots spare. this introduces the first feature of this mode, which is highly limited ammo.


2. surviver bunkers
unlike the standard mode, the player doesn't start as a pawn in a match, they starts as a runner on a roof, the player must find and release survivors on the map to gain allies, this is done the same way as capturing bases normally, the player starts with one base which spawns 5 allies that are armed with random melee weapons.

3. melee weapons
unlike the main mode, melee weapons would be a secondary equipment, with the player staring with a bat, with out a melee weapon in the slot the player can only "punch" enemies which doesn't kill but instead stuns.

4. weapon catches.
the main way to get guns in this mode would be from weapon catches, these catches would have limited numbers of guns, and would "self destruct" after the last weapon is taken, they do respawn but only after a while.

5. civilian vehicles
one of the side things about this mode, would be civilian vehicles, these vehicles would function similar to the military counter parts, but none would be armed... except maybe a rare technical. the vehicles would range from trucks with 3 seats (one drive, one armored passenger, and one open passenger) to a Hippy van which some how can hold 12 people. (more a joke item then anything)

6. ammo pack
this replaces the vest slot for this game mode, as vests are useless, ammo packs allow for carring of more ammo, with out one the player can only carry 2 spare reloads for most weapons (4 for shotguns). with one they can carry 8 reloads (16 for shotguns)



GAME PLAY
the zombie mode would work like so, the player will start on top of a a building in a random area of the map. the player would start with a bat, and a revolver, and there allies would only be 5 random civilians armed with either melee weapons or pistols. The objective of this game mode would be like most other to take back the map, unlike other game modes where the palyer does this by taking base location, in this game mode they do so by completely wiping out the enemy units, aka even if you clear all hostile bases the enemy will continue fighting, and infact will gain a horde burst at random... safe to say this game mode has no end, though the player can clear the map, the zombies will likely horde and take back half of it.


ENEMIES
another special point on this game mode is the zombies, which are armed with only a "zombie weapon" said weapon can not be dropped and acts as a knife from the standard game. though it should be noted there will be the following types of zombies

walker: slow moving zombies, have "vest III's" melee instant kills.

runners: fast moving zombies have "Vest II's" melee instant kills.

exploders: slow moving drops chunks of explosive flesh on death (aka drops 3 live grenades colored red)

bitten: armed with random gun, slow moving easy to kill. (drops ammo and weapon on death)




NOTE: this is a concept, and well I am half asleep so take it with some salt.
