this is in multiplayer and this is one of the things that annoys me the most ill be running around with my AI squad that is about 3 people then a player that is a higher rank rolls by and ill see my squadmates all running off and ill never have a squad its just annoying and if i want to be certain that ill have forever a squad ill have to reach the maximum level wich implies hours of play and i dont have that much time, so it would be kinda cool if this feature would get taken down or simply turned off.

And i know that it is the chain of command thing like in the army but its game and its simply annoying.

Well, I think it is completely fair to take AIs by other player whether higher or lower rank . Also notice that no matter you're with lower rank, you CAN assign AI from everyone(even those with the highest rank) if you don't have any or 1-2 only.

I get what you're saying.
Some times I just wish there were more AI on the field in co-op for us all to command.
But I think when we start to reach high player numbers the idea is it's more on our cooperative-shoulders as a group of players to win the map and less the AI we have. There is actually a setting in the server set up where the more Players there are, the less AI is on our team.

If it makes any difference as I higher ranked player with a squad of 10 I commonly dismiss my AI when I am not using them to their utmost or as part of my team effort directly so as to make their numbers available to other players, or I just lower my following number a bit too. And I know I am not the only one that does this. Although I do wish Ai would get "bored" standing next to an Idle players for a long time and move off to battle to be put to use. (I mean completely Idle, no movement at all for a few minutes)

I dont even use ai squads anymore and I can easily field 10 of them, sometimes I take a 4 man squad to escort a armory or something but ill ditch them as soon as I get to the front lines

Ai are helpful but sometimes youll just end up micromanaging them more than shooting the enemy, but it is pretty nice when you can save them from mortars by pulling them back quickly by spamming the squad move command quickly quickly quickly quickly

Also they get killed alot so dont feel too sad when you end up losing 7 in 10 seconds lol
