So I was thinking about the fact that you can currently heal enemy soldiers (which I have done, and been immediately stabbed by them in return for my mercy) and an idea came to me:

What if healing an enemy soldier made them a prisoner (they could assume the prisoner stance that's already in the game and then disappear after a few seconds)? To make it more interesting, what if after a team had taken a certain number of prisoners (say 5 or 10) it would reveal certain things on the map (e.g. their comms truck), basically simulating that the prisoners had given over info?

In addition to giving medics a little more to play around with, this would also make the suicide option useful for more than just not wanting to wait. With that said, obviously suicide would have to carry with it some hefty consequences, otherwise the player would obviously always choose to suicide rather than be revived by a medic from the other team. Likewise, the AI would have to have some logic for making this decision, and also the ability to heal members of other teams.

Any thoughts? Is this just ridiculous?

Wow, no response on this? I think it's a great idea and would add a great new dynamic gameplay element. There's so many ways to use this.

brings me an question. why would you heal enemy soldier?

the prisoner thingy has been discussed before. thought i cant remember how did it end up.

you can suicide if you are down by holding V. if you didnt know

It's not that it's a bad idea, but it seems like a detail unless the reward of healing an enemy prisoner can be expanded somehow.

The comms truck, radio tower, cargo truck location might work. Not quite sure now but all maps probably have one of them, except the first in campaign which is a practice map.

Some form of minibosses (higher rank than usually, always with rare weapon and rare vest) are making their way to the game, maybe it's those who would leak the information.

thought this idea would work with static side mission objectives like radio tower.
