You can call in Airborne, right? CPU's can parachute from planes, right? Why can't we?

I have an idea:
Become a paratrooper by waiting at your FOB, or home base or something, when someone calls in reinforcements (4) then you will appear in a plane, waiting to be dropped. Once you're in that location you will jump out an parachute to the ground. You will have your backpack on and ALL of your items in it, so when you land, you will have to take cover to get your stuff out, just like real life.
I'd also like it if the airborne were scattered, like real life! :)

While it sounds really great I can point out few things that may be problematic (I am no game developer, so I am guessing about them, so I may be very wrong).

First - that would mean adding plane model which propably would be time consuming and troublesome for devs.
Second - when I die I can respawn very close to frontlines, which means that in most cases it would be very counter productive to respawn in base and wait for somebody to order paratroopers.
Third - there was simmilar idea before which was rejected by developers.

Please note Jordanrw8 - I am not saying that Your idea is bad, or something like that. As a matter of fact, persoanly I like it. But I also think that it would not pay of to implemend it as it would not bring much changes itno game - I can not see when exacly I would like to sit and wait for such occasion. It could help in taking over bases that are behind front lines... But again - this is currently done by truck with their mobile respawn poins. Also there is important fact that simmilar idea was proposted before and was not accepted.

What might work better and more feasibly is that you go to your armoury, then spend a large amount of RP to parachute anywhere on the map. It would add quite a bit of fun by adding another route to backdooring enemies.

A variation on this idea has been suggested before which would have the player have an item, flare, or a radio request, which when used would place a spawn point on the location high in the air. The spawn point would be normally visible in the map view, allowing players to manually choose to spawn there.

Feasibility of such a feature is high, I think the biggest gap is that it's not possible to configure the spawn point height, so you'd have everyone spawn on ground instead currently. Other relevant issue is probably that the spawn point would stay there forever (as long as enemies aren't too close to it), unless a small piece of script was added to clean it up after some time.
