As of now, the ranks are named:
0xxx Private
1xxx Lance Corporal
2xxx Corporal
3xxx Sergeant
4xxx 5xxx 2nd Lieutenant
6xxx Lieutenant
Above 7000 Captain

This is good, but it might be a bit easier to follow around the top ranks to go:

0xxx Private
1xxx Lance Corporal
2xxx Corporal
3xxx Sergeant
4xxx Gunnery Sergeant (Gunny instead of First Sergeant because Lance Corporal is marines.)
5xxx Lieutenant
6xxx Captain
Above 7000 General

I know absolutely nothing about military ranks, but I guess its good? :P I don't know.

Well, it isn't so much for accuracy's sake, as that 2lt covers 2000 points, and then there's still the additional Lt, The point here being that each rank is a bit more distinguishable.
