I thought since the APC is a finely balanced vehicle, why not make a tank. A model idea I had was from another game (Its okay to use the model since the company no longer exists) was the tank from Army men 3D. Its a decent looking tank. Anyways I had thought that the tank could take 3-4 LAW shots depending on hit location (Motor of tank is in the back, if you hit the motor is applies more damage. And I also thought that the explosion of the tank projectile should be 3-4x that of a LAW or Grenade explosion. And 1 more reason you should add this is "ITS A FREAKIN TANK MAN" :3

I am not sure that you can use a model just because a company doesn't exist anymore. Anyway, I already started to work on a tank model a while back. Somewhere around version 0.90 sounds good to implement a tank.

I don't remember Army Men 3d but the old Army Men games had a very generic looking tank. The IS-2 (?) from that post looks neat, but it's a pretty outdated tank.

It's been said several times however: MBTs are too powerful for the infantry focus of the game. The BRDM (or whatever) that's currently in is light enough to be taken out by simple disposable launchers, but heavy enough to be a threat to unprepared units. It also doesn't use HE rounds so it doesn't completely obliterate everything as soon as it arrives on the battlefield, nor does it have a coaxial machinegun.

Fun little tidbit: don't be near a tank when the main cannon fires, that would be bad times.

The Generic tanks from Army Men are based off of the tanks you get when you buy a set of plastic army-men, and IIRC those are based off of M48 Pattons.

Also, getting whacked by the sabot of a tank can be bad times :P

Tanks would be awesome! Just imagine tank battles in RWR, when both sides have armored vehicles! It would need some new special maps for that though (with open areas), and maybe some additional AT weapons to balance them. I'd suggest some modern Russian and American tank models, such as M1A2, T90, maybe Leopard 2 or Challenger. WW2 tanks don't fit in the game, but would be awesome in combination with WW2 mods.
