Since the server seems to be dead, I'll take this minute to point out that browns are OP v. greens or grays. AK is slightly better than G36 or M16 (IMO), and SVD dominates pretty much every other weapon except some of the really good rares.

With SVD, I got something like 40 kills in the last round, including maybe 10 player kills and didn't even take a hit on my vest.

Your last round was on the "Power Junction" map, it would have been the same if you would have to hold the Power Plant base with another faction. Defending is always easier in terms of aiming. I wouldn't that the AK is better than the stock ARs from the other factions. It depends on your playstyle. For a very good player the AK might be better but not for the average player as it requires better aiming skill. An the other hand it has higher kill probability.

D'oh, no one remembered the game can't handle persistent profiles together with map changing from a 3-faction setup to 2-faction; guys previously on Brown would continue to be Brown when joining a Green vs Grey match which is bad.

It's not really the same. SVD is more OP for defense than the other guns. It's the same reason the pure PVP map is horrible if anyone sits on top of any of the buildings that are too tall to throw a grenade up. SVD is also good enough that you can kill people who are hiding behind walls if they have M16 or G36.

Anyway I had fun :D

It's problem that we cant have solid game unless we go to beer, and today it didnt work for a while. Newbies have no time to learn modes(at least teddy) because its changing all the time. 20-30min would be great IMO.

Who agrees that minimodes need longer time?
And maybe map change for KOTH. Today we made a deal that mosque roof was forbidden and then it was OK.

The Classic based session didn't last for awfully long, but did you guys get an idea if it was for the better that comms truck and radio tower were absent?

There was radar towers at Beerdrinkers. At least in some maps.

I doubt it. It was probably a radio jammer.
For myself I think it's fine to have the radar towers and jammers, just not the radar truck or at least it should be disabled for the AI so that the humans would need to take care of it (hiding it or using it near the frontlines to jam the calls of the enemies).

I think there is no big difference for real players(actually I have not noticed what bots are doing when their towers/jammers are destroyed) between towers & jammers - both disabling enemy radio calls in the area.

I am of the same opinion.

Btw I like the idea of "radar tank" or at least think that the cooms vehicle should be better armored, because currently 2 RPGs are quite enough to blow all the possible vehicles in game(excluding tanks)...... and another idea for PvP servers(like Beerdrinkers) - how about 2 towers/jammers(located in main bases) and 2 comms vehicles(like as Jack said - to use them near front lines to jam the enemy calls)?
