The points I've picked up from Invasion with 25+ players:
* it generally becomes a steam roll from beginning to end most maps, so many players = many attackers; map1 seems to fight a bit back as it's so big and the player mass scatters
*** SAS Invasion added a small tweak a day/two ago increasing enemy accuracy from 0.94 to 0.96, was playing there yesterday and map3 felt pretty ok, much better than the previous time, but could've still been more grindy to my taste
*** the patch comes with easy options for disabling campaign completion based boosts and nerfs -- not absolutely sure if it is in use in online Invasion in the first place, but by disabling it it for sure isn't
*** the patch also fixes "AI reduction" control, which can be used to lower the capacity in the faction that has more players than others, in Invasion with lots of players, this leads to even less bots for friendlies; so far the option has not been used and any bot reduction has happened only because players fill up capacity

Playing Classic with 25+ players:
* there will be some initial RP, not much, but a bit
* RP per player kills will be increased, not much, but a bit
* initial XP to be increased a bit

So I've been thinking of some real suggestions on crowded servers and gameplay in general, but I come mainly with inventory issues:

- I bought like 6 sg 552 and 6 vests, then left them at the stash for using them later; when I'm taking 1 sg only i have no problem: LMB on it and you directly take all those 6, 1 you carry, 5 to the backpack, then RMB on the backpack ones, which return to the stash.
The problem: i want to grab only 2 sgs from those 6: not possible, you can only take the whole pack (1 as first wep, 5 to the backpack). I'd suggest 1 click 1 item, just as the armory when you buy, and ctrl + click for all the similar items. That, or viewing the items you have at your backpack and at your stash 1 by 1.
i solved this by dropping 1 to the ground actually, and grabbing only 1 again, but that's a bit awkward and some pesky teamies might rob you all of a sudden ;)

- When you carry no grenades with you and you walk over 1, you have to tap f instead of picking it up directly; i can't tell if that happens because you only pick the kind of grenade you last had. I know that's kinda more realistic, but don't know if that's how it should be or not.

- Persistent special weapons: when you get killed having a special weapon, one bought at the armory, it usually disappears. Sometimes this happens also with a special weapon you took from an enemy: I heard a guy shooting an ak74, I killed him, but he dropped no weapon at all. :cry: Don't play with me DocStone! It's okay that special weapons bought at the armory don't always appear when you die, you can always buy a new one if you have RP, but not those sweet hidden ones.

On massive coop servers: I can't really make a suggestion, just saying that sometimes it's way too hard to destroy their comms or complete side missions: literally 40 enemies at 1 area. But I actually love that...

Holding CTRL when starting to drag the item only picks one from the stack. Not quite sure now but I think it works with LMB/RMB taps too.

It's indeed because you only autopick the item types you previously had. The same thing avoids you from picking medikits when you're out of let's say bazookas.

That sounds like a bug, they should definitely be dropped. At least in single player I haven't noticed them disappearing in a while (one weapon disappearance on drop -bug had been fixed within the last 3 months, had something to do with the weapon being temporarily hidden, like dying when you are in middle of stab). In online all sorts of tiny item related bugs have been noticed, ghost valuable items lying on client view but not there on server anymore (can't be picked up), soldiers without a weapon in hands.. could be related if your experience of it is from online side only/mostly.

confirmed, and the grenade thingy too, you only grab the type you ran out of.
