In real life, certain varieties of weaponry would draw enemy fire. Machinegunners in WWII had extremely high casualty rates, and were prioritized because of the lethal nature of their weaponry. Helicoper door gunners in Vietnam had a life expectancy of 6 seconds upon entering combat, because their weapons were a priority target.
This kind of "bullet magnetism" is something I'd love to see in RWR. I've watched a couple of firefights where a single Machinegunner would rack up nearly 40 kills before getting nailed by a grenade, while the enemy mows down soldiers further away from them. It'd be a cool way to force players who like heavy weaponry to position themselves to avoid the attention they'll recieve after they start firing. A similar thing could be employed where officers could also be prioritized over a private on the "target value" scale.
Thoughts?

+1 to this idea.

It would be cool to have a squad of AI aggressively hunting down a sniper-camper instead of forgeting about him after 10 seconds :) . APC gunners and jeeped units prioritizing units with rocket launchers would increase their survivability .

Absolutely, I've been meaning to extend this. Currently the AI uses grenades against MG more than against other weapons, but also bullets could be delivered there as a priority. Another thing related to this is that if you set a target position for the squad, the squad should prioritize enemies in that direction to approach the position with force, but at this point, they don't, they just fight with the optimal enemy in their area of sight (distance, cover evaluated, not direction).

Also I've wanted to make it so that if you target the same position for a squad another time in a row, it would mean to _really_ prioritize it as a target and charge there head up high guns ablazing.
