Actually I'd rather have that instead of an ammo counter on the HUD anyway. :]
This is actually a brilliant idea. I kinda wish we had some "difficulty settings" for the hud and map markers, kinda like how OFP/Arma did it, where you can turn that stuff on/off individually, and also have serverside settings for it.
As for the claymores I think they would be way more useful if you didn't have to detonate them manually, but then again that might lead to a lot of "incidents" involving friendly fire. Claymores being more useful in PvP is true, but it's kinda ironic since bots are usually more predictable than players. I remember C4 being used to great effect in team elimination, mostly because they were invisible behind buildings/walls.
