Hey all,

I just ordered a wired Xbox 360 controller to play mainly racing games on my pc with. Then it occured to me that the controller should be able to work with other games too! I have now bought a copy of a program called Xpadder which will let me map my controller buttons to keys on my keyboard for games that don't support it.

I was wondering if RWR has controller support and if not will it be something to work on upon final release? I don't know how well one would be able to aim though, I will get the controller on Monday so will have to test it out. Just thought of asking you guys before I do so. :)

it's not planned at all but well, try it and who knows, if it feels good pasik might change his position ;)
The thing is that in multiplayer you wouldn't stand a chance if playing against people with mouse/keyboard... And the game would have to be changed a bit (maybe slight auto-aiming and stuff like that) to make it more enjoyable. The directions would need to be tweaked then as well (which would make them better since now it supports only 8 moving direction), with an analog stick the movement of the soldier would be way smoother.

Use the look spring, so it pops the cursor back to the center every time you let go of the stick.

There is an application called Pinnacle Profiler i use too, it has look spring that is a bit different from xpadder.

Works great for games like Dungeons of dreadmore and Project Zomboid, unepic....

once you get the hang of it, you can do it really fast.

Righty! Well In my findings playing RWR with a controller feels really really nice, I mean movement and taking cover is so much nicer. However aiming is difficult, like you said it would be. I am finding it hard to actually get kills and am making most of the AI team do the work which is kinda frustrating but still its not a bad experience.

Though I have not tried this it would probably work very well in aiming, I will have to keep tweaking my controls until I find a nice balance :)

I don't actually recommend making RWR have controller support, only reason is because most people are interested in the multiplayer aspects of the game and like you said you will get pretty much destroyed. However I think perhaps a console port of the game after the PC version has been fully released would be a good call. Obviously this isn't the aim right now, but I do honestly believe that this game would sell well on for instance Xbox Live if it was there. :)

Mybrother has just recently bought an Xbox live gold membership card (12 months + 1) and since he made his game tag with it.He’s able to play on live. As for me I had the 1 month free gold membership and it expired and I’m left with Xbox silver. I tried to get on the Xbox live gold membership.It was an invalid card and said nothing about Xbox live 12 months + 1. Also it seems like only one person can use the card. WhatshouldI do?
