I've downloaded a mod for 0.93, installed it in overlays, launched the game, clicked the option of new game(not the campaign, I forgot how it's called), then it gives me Unrecoverable error, says go to check the log. "Alrighty" - thought I and followed the path that error gave me. So, I opened the folder, and there is no log. What do I do. I can't launch the mod and don't have log(uninstalling the mod helps, but I want to play it).

The log should be there. Depending on your Windows settings it might just have name rwr_game if the file extensions are not displayed. The actual filename is anyhow rwr_game.log.

The location on my system is C:\Users\pasik\AppData\Roaming\Running with rifles\. You can also access it by entering %appdata%\Running with rifles in the address bar or start menu run/search field.

I've checked there many times. It IS NOT there. I dunno why.

EDIT: Just played RWR with mod uninstalled. I chose Brown Faction and settings and clicked start. It crashed, but now I have crashdump file. Still no log. EDIT 2: This bug happened only once, I redone this, and game didn't crash.

Sounds at least that something is preventing RWR from writing to appdata. I'd probably uninstall the game, delete Running with rifles folder in appdata, and reinstall the game. Also trying to run the game with an admin account might solve something, although it shouldn't be required.

Without the log it's impossible to say what is failing with the mod. What mod is this? I could try it myself when I've got an opening.

Uhh, Running with Hedgerows for 0.93. And I've reinstalled everything(redownloaded installer) - no dice. Launching game as admin isn't helping. Still no log.

I don't know what to say. Running with Hedgerows runs just fine here in 0.93.2, tried it with Vaaleakoski.

I just don't know too. Everytime I press "Start new quick match", It gives me this error. EDIT: Now I got it. It happens with EVERY mod I install.

Antivirus software might be one reason why RWR fails to write in appdata. You could try disabling AV when you run RWR.
