This error occurs whenever I try to launch the game. I'm on Steam. Only a rwr_config log was generated.

Post subject:  Re: rwr_config.exe has stopped working

For any future case like this, using opengl as a launch parameter this way https://support.steampowered.com/kb_art ... -JWMT-2947 helps to work around the issue.

So far it is unknown what's so special about DirectX 9 in this case that a failure happens when loading textures and RWR crashes.

In any case, DirectX 9.0c can be reinstalled using https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... px?id=8109
