Hello there, I just bought RWR today, and I noticed a problem with game.
Whenever I want to open map, at first moment, everything looks okay, map shows, no problem.
But, If I try to move mouse while map is opened, even just a little bit, game jams.
Sometimes it crashes after few seconds, sometimes game let me to close map and I can play normaly, but when I open map, still same thing happens.

Its probably because Im running game on Linux Ubuntu 16.04.1 Newest one, I think.

Map is pretty important thing in the game so its pretty annoying.

EDIT

I also noticed, that map in tutorial works without any problems.

"Help"
Thanks.

I have the same problem, both on Ubuntu 14.04 and 16.04.

I can't get this issue to reproduce on my Ubuntu 16.04.

Does it say anything useful at the end of rwr_game.log? You can find it at ~/.running_with_rifles.

What does the log say for you regarding GPU device and driver? Mine says
Code:
Device Name: Gallium 0.4 on AMD REDWOOD (DRM 2.43.0, LLVM 3.8.0)
Driver Version: 3.0.0.0

You can also send me the log to support@modulaatio.com.

Code:
Device Name: Mesa DRI Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 (Skylake GT2) x86/MMX/SSE2
 Driver Version: 3.0.0.0

/\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\

Thats what it says.

And I send whole log on email too.
There is bunch of errors at the end.

Code:
Can't assign material _missing_material_ to SubEntity of Ogre/MO649 because this Material does not exist. Have you forgotten to define it in a .material script?

This thing repeat like three times.

Thanks for the log though doesn't seem there's much to be determined here. The _missing_material_ is expected, it's something Ogre3D outputs and RWR assigns the material afterwards.

Have you tried verifying the cache integrity in Steam? In Steam Library, right click on RWR and pick Properties, in Local files tab pick Verify integrity of game cache. Not overly hopeful on this one given you just installed the game, but worth a try.

harambe_reborn, can you also send your log to me?

Does it work if you're playing a quickmatch instead of campaign?

If it works in quickmatch, it could be somehow related to the world view used in campaign, could help isolate the issue a little bit.

Map works normaly only on tutorial.
Quickmatch, campaign, multiplayer, map always broken.

Ill try to check all maps for this issue.

Quickmatch and lobby are very similar technically whereas campaign comes with additional complexity. Was hoping there would be something to grab onto if it was only campaign where it crashes, hm.

I could start removing elements from the map view in a series of custom builds if you're willing to try them out to help pinpoint what it is that's causing the crash on your system.
