Hello, Great game, lots of fun playing it, game run silky smooth, i'm only experiencing one problem, the game sometimes freeze for a couple of seconds (up-to 40secs or so) during gameplay, i'm not sure it happens during a save because sometimes it autosaves and there is no stutter, no freezing at all.

Have you tried other gamemodes, say online or quickmatches, is it the same there or could it be related to campaign only?

I haven't heard earlier cases of this sort of thing, but granted, Linux is the least played platform for RWR.

The chance is probably rather low, but one possibility could be that some RWR resource files would be stored on an area of the hard drive which could be suffering from read issues.

I have this issue too but i am playing on a Windows 8.1 (64-bit) system with good hardware, so it seems that this is a general problem.
However, i have to mention that i am playing currently the demo.. dont know whether it is updated like the full game.

If you're playing the 0.99.9 demo, it is very close to the full game in logic. Such a freeze issue hasn't been fixed between 0.99.9 and 1.0 as one hasn't been detected to happen generally.

I'm also playing mainly on Windows 8.1 64-bit, also extended durations, so that wouldn't seem to be the source of the issue.

Is it possible to capture a video of the issue? How frequently does it happen, and where?

Version: 0.99.9 (demo)
Frequency: randomly (every 30 - 120 seconds) - since game is loaded and started. The duration of hangup/freeze is 1 up to 3 seconds.
All drivers: uptodate.
System: No other big application is running in background.
Video: Can be captured in next days.


To test it i started the game for a few minutes.. i had about 3 freezes in that time. Some statistics about the process in the screenshots below..
