Hi, I have the game on steam. Each time I launch the game I get 'first time setup' and it re-installs MS VC Redist Package is there any way to stop this? |

Haven't heard anyone have this issue before. As far as I know Steam uses registry to store if a dependent package has been installed already by Steam itself. Maybe Steam can't do that for some reason in your case?.. Hard to say. |

Take a look at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RunningWithRifles\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2008\installscript.vdf, looks like the registry keys Steam checks are defined there. |
