Read other bugs about full screen and windowed - this is under windowed.
Start the game and the mouse is very laggy and sometimes unresponsive. It seems that the system mouse is still working somewhere in the background and not handing over full control to RWR.

When clicking on start new campaign, and then start - all sound finishes and X becomes unresponsive. CTRL-ALT 2 takes me to tty2 where I find the processes still running but X is now unresponsive. Killing and restarting X is the only way back to the session. No errors found (in fact, I'm not sure where I would find them, only having the game for a day).

RWR on Arch Linux had peculiarities with some other things as well back in the day, but I don't remember campaign not starting being one of them.

Not sure if it'll reveal much, but you could send me ~/.running_with_rifles/rwr_game.log and a possible metagame.log to support@modulaatio.com for investigation.
