I took about 15 vests from the Armory to put in stash. There were about 30 vests at 25% strength already in my stash (they get dumped there during a mission and then I clear them out periodically).

All these vests, the old and the new, disappeared as I put them in stash - well there were one or two vests left.

I checked and they weren't on the ground.

I'm not at the 500 limit.

This is the second time it has happened. When it happened a few days ago, I checked the stash a few times and then suddenly they re-appeared there.

This time, I've logged out and back in again, but so far they haven't re-appeared.

I put some more vests in my stash and I've found that the previous vests were still there but the number was incorrect.

For example, it said there were 5 vests at 25% in my stash. However, I could drag 20+ of them into my backpack.

So I think it is an issue of incorrect display of quantity in the stash for some reason, rather than the items actually disappearing from there.

Cleared out the old vests from my stash. My stash is showing that I have one new Mk I vest, even though it's actually a stack of many. I think something similar also happened, playing just now, with grenades.

I picked up a pair of voodoo weapons today, AK-47 grenades (I'll explain that in another thread...). I believe their presence may have put a hex on my stash (although that wouldn't explain the incident the other day).

Either way, something strange and mysterious is happening...

More info on my stash issues:

- it happens to other items. e.g. I had 15 or so L85s in stash, transferred them to backpack and then back into stash. It was then showing as one L85 in stash, when it was actually a stack of 15+

- items not showing at all. I ran out of sandbags in stash and put 15 in there. No sandbags were showing in my stash, although they later appeared there.

Guesses what the problem might be:

- the "AK-47 grenades" in my stash are "undefined" items and maybe are creating problems with the list of stash items.

- there was quite a bit of different loot items in there, which, combined with all the other things one can put in loot now the capacity is 500, meant there was a lot of different items in there, although less than 500. Maybe there are now problems created with having so many different types of items in the inventory list.

A potential problem was found yesterday in the netcode regarding large quantities of items of same type in stash or backpack. Do you happen to have, let's say, around 128 or 256 pieces of some specific item?

I'm currently suspecting this is causing the recent server side crashes, haven't verified it yet.

I don't think there's a quantity of more than about thirty of any particular item.

Since I cleared out the loot in my stash, the problem seems to have resolved itself. So my guess is that the issue, in this particular case, relates to the number of different items, rather than a large quantity of any single item.

Hope i get 256 today to see if something happens.

Have you tried transferring all those P90's from stash to your backpack temporarily? If it works with anything over 128, then the problem barrier isn't there and one part of the code works as expected, but reaching 256 + doing the transfer should cause some sort of issues.

Was hoping you'd actually be the one who already got the official Invasion servers crash a few times with same error reports :) Could still be someone else with that many single-type items collected, or the worse case that the particular problem isn't there.

A small point, probably of no consequence, in case you are still having problems diagnosing the issue: when my stash was behaving oddly, when I held the Ctl button to equip a single item, the majority of the time it would transfer all of that particular item to my backpack.

I was wondering if it was a problem my end, but since I resolved my stash issue, by clearing out lots of loot, it hasn't been happening. So I'm pretty sure it was related to the stash issue in some way.

Doesn't part of them disappear if I try to put them to BAG? Once when I had not that many, I tried to take them all and I could only take that much that fits to bag and rest disappeared. If I remember correct...

Why not just buy nades and test?
