Hey all,

Just purchased the game on Steam I can't get it to play on my 2011 Macbook Pro. Here's what keeps happening:

When I hit play in my Library it gives me two options: 1) Play RUNNING WITH RIFLES or 2) Configure

Regardless of which option I choose it takes me to a configuration screen (I've attached an image of it) without any option to actually play the game.

I've uninstalled, restarted, etc. and can't play the game

help please

Can you check if this works for you:
http://modulaatio.com/runningwithrifles/1.jpg
http://modulaatio.com/runningwithrifles/2.jpg
http://modulaatio.com/runningwithrifles/3.jpg

Can you access that folder .running_with_rifles in your home dir? The configuration tool should create it when you press Exit and then create that config.xml file in there. Launching the game requires that file to be found; if it doesn't, it'll start the configuration tool instead. One of these things doesn't seem to be happening for you for some reason.

If you have any files in that folder, you could also send them to me at support@modulaatio.com.

Thanks for the reply Pasik.

I searched for the ".running_with_rifles" like you showed but it says the file doesn't exist

That's odd, maybe there's some permission restriction going on then. What if you create that folder manually?

Tried manually creating the folder and it still won't work

I might also add, in case it matters, I created a separate steam account to see if the demo version would work, but I encountered the same situation

Thanks for taking the time to help me with this, I've been looking forward to playing

Just double-checking here: you've created a folder called .running_with_rifles in /Users/[your account]/, and the game isn't working. Does running and exiting the configuration tool create any files in that location either?

Does it behave the same if you run the game via Finder instead of Steam? Go to ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/RunningWithRifles/ and double click on RunningWithRifles.app.

Here maybe this will help

I opened up the contents of the package and went to the RunningWithRifles terminal file and this is what came up:
