Well in this case I do not wish to anyone a medic with m240 if needed.

I'm not sure that's what's going on, but there have been a couple times when I need a medic, and some bot walks over and try to heal but totally fails. Instead of applying the medkit, the bot repeatedly dives at me, gets up, dives at me, etc., until a human player comes along or I die. EDIT: this isn't new to .98.5. I saw this on the previous version, too. I don't remember seeing it before then, though. |

Adding "or until another bot with medpack comes to help". I can confirm this - it happens to me either. EDIT As far as I remember it started since 0.98 or maybe even 0.97, but because it happens very rarely, I have not paid much attention. |

I'm pretty sure I've seen it happen from time to time since the medic behavior was added for AI. I think it's because the character sometimes fails to switch to medikit even if the AI requests it, and the AI assumes the request goes through. Finally he attempts to "shoot" thinking he has the medikit in his hand in order to execute healing, but instead dives to shoot with the LMG due to having a prone-only weapon in hands. |
